January 10, 2022, read first time and referred to Senate Committee on Utilities.

Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) needs to schedule a hearing on SB 248 in the Senate Utilities Committee. We also need to educate the members of this committee to understand why this needed. 2022 is a short session of the Indiana General Assembly, therefore, SB 248 needs a committee hearing before the end of January 2022.

In addition to SB 248 introduced by Sen. Liz Brown, a companion bill is expected to be introduced this week by a House Republican. Watch for more details.
