NIPSCO Files Petition (44393) with IURC for VFIT 2.0 Program; IndianaDG Files Petition to Intervene; Join to Learn More

As anticipated, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) filed a petition on 9/11/13 with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) for another round of their proposed voluntary feed-in tariff (VFIT). The new case is Cause No. 44393. We are calling it the NIPSCO VFIT 2.0.

Indiana Distributed Energy Alliance (IndianaDG) has retained J. David Agnew with LORCH NAVILLE WARD LLC AS legal counsel and filed a petition to intervene in 44393.

The current NIPSCO VFIT 1.0 --as we are now calling it --is now scheduled to expire on 12/31/13 and is nearly full.

  • NIPSCO electric customers;

NIPSCO has 457.000 electric service customers across northern Indiana.

Members participating in discussions and negotiations about this proceeding before the IURC will also be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
