Governor Daniels Reappoints Hardy Chairman of IURC

INDIANAPOLIS (March 15, 2010) - Governor Mitch Daniels announced today he is reappointing David Lott Hardy as the chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC). Hardy was first appointed to fill a vacancy on the commission in 2005 and was named to his first four-year term in 2006. Commission terms are four years. During Hardy's tenure, the IURC has established a regulatory structure to welcome wind development to Indiana, developed an aggressive energy efficiency investment requirement, and provided oversight in a tough financial environment to maintain Indiana's low-cost advantage.
